Opening night at Lebanon Valley for the 88 racing team 

car owner/ crew memeber ron dwyer states " I thought he did a awesome job balancing trying not to get caught up in any messes, and still moving forward".

Crew memeber, Brandon Colpack states "The car seemed to run well, there was just some little things that had to be worked out. Normal things for the first week, but the team got through them! We went ahead and made the right changes on the car, he was really good in the Big Block feature. He went from 22nd to 10th, we experienced some brake problems". Brandon Colpack also states " I genuinely believe If we didnt experience those problems we could have kept picking em off". 

Crew memember Terry Stacy states " I think the night was a success, have to work the small kinks out of the big block and just get a little luck with a small block, I think we will be right their at the finish each week".

The 2nd weekend at Lebanon Valley Speedway didnt go as planned for the 88 racing team. Crew memeber / car owner Ron Dwyer states " As far as the small block goes I feel like that car was very good in capable of winning the race on Saturday night (4/29/17) Unfortunately you cannot win the race without a left front wheel LOL". RON DWYER ALSO STATES " I Feel as though the big block has not shown it's capabilities yet, it's very difficult to drive a racecar at Lebanon Valley without the confidence that the brakes are there for you, I am confident once we get the car right that Olden's conference will be there and that he will drive the big block to victory lane this year". ron dwyer mentions  " We are very pleased and happy with the way our team is young and is gelling together". Brandon Colpack says " The Big Block wasn't where we would want it to be, there was a incident in our heat race where we got into it with someone. Something where no one was really at fault, it was just a racing deal and that kinda threw the entire car off for the night".  Brandon Colpack Talks about the Small Block " The Small Block was awesome and we all really felt like their was a good shot to take that race home. especially starting from the pole. The car ran very well right off the trailer. Unfortunately in the feature we broke the left front hub and spindle. We arent entirely sure what caused it but thats racing and next week we will get afer it and give it our best".

To say that this past saturday was a relief, is a understatement! The 88 team has been digging all winter long to get this car fast, and man was it fast. Olden deserved this win BIG time! Being able to stand in victory lane, with such a good group of guys, family, friends, and sponsors is everything  I could ask for. It's a great feeling to have such amazing people surround us enjoying this moment, that we can share together. Every weekend we all come out to the races hoping that we will be in VL, and Olden made this possible for not only himself but for all of us. I see everyday and weekend the work that Olden and his guys put into his race cars, and he never stops digging till its done. Thats what I'm most proud about, the kid doesnt give up. Tears just kept rolling down my face, because I know how much this means to him. I Think this win has boosted his confidence even more for the rest of the race season.... - Brooke Colpack

Olden dwyer - " I cant thank the whole team enough, all of our sponsors, and all of my family that supports me. this is a great start to our year, and hopefully we can try to keep this momentum going all race season". 

OLden also states " these guys gave me the fastest car i have ever had, which really boosted my confidence. There is nothing like going into a race with alot of confidence. Its the most unbelievable feeling to be able to stand in victory lane at the end of the night".

A couple questions asked to crew memember/ car owner Ron Dwyer

How did it feel to get this win?

" I did enjoy the win, but at the same time I felt like it was more of a Relief for the entire team".

How did you think the car was?

 " I think the car was spot on perfect, thanks too olden doing a better job with feedback". 

​

What are you most proud of?

 " Im very proud of everyone obviously, mostly of olden but I realized during the race that i was never nervous because I have so much confidence in him. I can tell when he is driving with confidence, I really never doubted it. Im very confident in him when I watch him and I know that he is confident in the car". 

​

What are some things now that you are looking to improve for the rest of the season?

"As far as improving on for the rest of the year I think we just need to continue to gel as a team and prepare for the races a little better. It has always been our weakness and we need to continue to try and get better at it." " Lastly I think it is really nice to be having fun again as a team".

we hear from crew memeber ; Kyle tamburro says: " I was confident after seeing olden pull away from the field in his heat race, and how hooked up & fast the car was that we were gonna be the car to beat tonight. For olden to hold off a stout field in the feature and have to fight back after cautions to keep those cars behind him, I felt really good because he has deserved that win  for almost two years now. The amount of time and energy that olden and the whole crew put into making these cars go fast, they deserve every moment of that win and hopfully their are more to come this year". Kyle also states " Im just so proud of the whole crew, we deserved that one" . " My favorite part of the whole night was walking out to victory lane and seeing how happy and proud olden's grandfather was to see his grandson in victory lane"!!!

crew memebr Kealan Hitt states, " Things went smooth right from the start, olden was fast right from warmups, team worked really well together to get the car set for the race, I mean there's not much to say, it was pretty much the ideal night at the track for the small block".

After a crazy double feature weekend, and a small block race.....

​

Brandon Colpack States "So double feature night. First feature we were kinda fortunate to have heat problems and have to pull in right before that big wreck cause we would have been right in the heart of that. The small block was a good car just like always and we made some changes to the big block trying to get it as good as possible. Every week I see progression in the cars and in the team. We all are working for the same goal and we are working together to achieve it."
